How long must the new plaster dry before painting?
Depending on room temperature and ventilation, plaster typically takes three to six days to turn from pink to a pale, uniform cream color before you apply a mist coat.
Can you skim over old textured Artex ceilings?
Yes, provided the Artex is sound and well bonded, we scrape down high peaks, seal it with a gritty bonding agent, and skim two smooth coats over top.
What should we do with our furniture before you start?
We ask that you clear small items and either move large furniture to the centre of the room or into another space so we have clear access to the walls.

Room prep and masking
We cover your carpets with heavy-duty protection, tape up sockets, and prepare walls with bonding agent.

Beading and repairs
We fit metal or PVC beads to external corners and scrim-tape board joints to stop future settling cracks.

Two-coat skim coat
We trowel on the first coat, let it firm up, apply the second coat, and trowel smooth with water as it support.

Site tidy
We take up floor coverings, wash our mixing buckets outside, and leave the room clean to dry naturally.
